I’m Going To Have Nightmares – Thanks FAT

April 23rd, 2010 by Valerie received No Comments »

Everyone present at  Alternative Fashion Week tonight was in for a real artistic treat. Once again, the interjection of fun and of pushing the borders of fashion expression took the shows to new levels. Evan Biddell opened the 9pm show with an upbeat and engaging runway show. The models interacted with the audience, as you can see below in the ONE clear shot my unreliable Nixon, sorry excuse of a digital camera took. This model in particular took a photographer’s camera and snapped a shot of him. Afterwards, the models hopped off the runway to the few empty seats in the front row.  They watched the show with the rest of the audience. I have never seen anything like that at a fashion show.Something else I have never seen at a fashion show. Scary masks on models who dance down the runway to eerily beautiful live Spanish music. WOW. The Magpie show tonight will definitely be giving me nightmares. The show was haunting, but the clothing was stunning. Talk about alternative. I tried to video the show on the Blackberry and will attempt to load it up here tomorrow. And for runway music tonight, my favorite came from Jessica Clayton’s show. She opened her segment with Gossip’s Heavy Cross. Here is the link.
