Yesterday, clothing designer Joelle Wall invited me to the model selection and fittings for Toronto Alternative Fashion Week, otherwise know as FAT. Wall will be displaying her beautiful collection this Wednesday night at 7pm. Her line is called Davidamor and her pieces are flattering, charming and unique. I received a preview of the collection yesterday and can only say that we are in for a treat Wednesday.

That said, during the fittings I experienced a total stimulation overload. Runway shows always look so cool and effortless, but I must say, I had no idea regarding the amount of work that goes into them. Designers and models were running back and forth, changing, pinning, noting and photographing. Plus I may not be grown up enough to go to one of those things. There is a lot of exposed flesh at a model fitting and I was constantly trying to avoid certain “sights” while still taking in the fun experience. Anyways, I am really looking forward to Alternative Fashion Week. If you can only come one night, come on Wednesday. It will be nothing short of amazing.
